Every pick-your-own entry was checked against the orchard's own website for the 2026 season, and cross-referenced with CISA's pick-your-own farm list and farm listings, a r/massachusetts thread on apple picking in western Mass, a printed 2025 pick-your-own flyer from a local shop, Boston.com's Massachusetts apple-picking guide, the Boston Globe, Yankee's NewEngland.com guide, WWLP's western Mass fall guide, More to Franklin County, the UMass Commonwealth Honors College fall guide, iBerkshires, and Daily Hampshire Gazette and Amherst Indy farm features. Each spot's popup lists its specific references. Coordinates come from OpenStreetMap and drive times from OSRM routing; Nominatim resolved every address, so no marker is a hand placement. Orchards that were checked and dropped (closed, no apples, or no PYO) are listed in a comment at the bottom of spots.js.
